Gotta say I'm really digging the album. I'd have to say on the first listen that "Let Your Eyes Wander" was my favorite track. The only song I wasn't so keen on was "Our Time in the Universe," but it may need more listens to grow on me lol.

One spin of the album down and I'm enjoying what I'm hearing… just letting it all settle in now. I can't pick a favourite at this time and there really isn't any song which I don't like.
Like each of Chris' albums, Higher Truth is unique from his previous releases, but while listening to this album I keep hearing tiny snippets of other songs from throughout all his releases. The songs themselves are completely different but just little tiny snippets within the songs. Are others hearing this too?
I think I prefer the acoustic version of Bend in the Road which feels like it can breathe a little bit more than the album version. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but it just doesn't sound quite right after hearing the live version. I'm thinking this might change after a few more listens. Having said all that it is still an amazing song. I love the little bridge in Murder of Blue Skies with Chris laying the vocals over the top. Misery Chain was done really well - I much prefer this version over the one featuring Joy Williams on backing vocals.
I really can't pick any favourites at this stage.

Ah yeah babe
Like the bass hooks during the harmonica solo. Currently a fave on the record. Before we disappear is also on you tube. Got sidetracked by the day job late n th day, so CD buying will have to be on the weekend.

I'm listening to the album right now. It's really beautiful. That's all I can say. Also, does anyone else feel like "Worried Moon" has a very Audioslave feel in the chorus? And I really like that little eastern-sounding riff in "Our Time In the Universe." It reminds me of Revolver era Beatles, like "Tomorrow Never Knows."

Higher Truth - 1 year on One year on and this album is feeling as solid as ever. It's very hard to chose just one favourite when there are so many great contenders.
