Such a shame, but not entirely surprising, I suppose. If Chris was alive, they'd have recorded the songs they were working on together and they'd be out. For someone not involved in that creative process between the 4 guys to withhold rights seems morally dubious...

Hope it eventually gets released.

Its a shame that vicky is withholding demos. It should be the bands property seeing they were made for the bands album. Kim has stated he is willing to compensate her for them. Take the money vickey and give it to your charity. Let the fans hear them. They deserve it. Without them soundgarden and chris would be nothing

Very disappointing. Pretty straightforward opinion from me. I don't care who you are, if you are not in Soundgarden you don't get to keep demos that were destined for Soundgarden. Morally dubious indeed!

Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil: It Would Be “Ridiculous” If We Don’t Get to Finish Our Last Album With Chris Cornell

the Brother Kim, had to keep the emotions in check. No wonder he had some Heineken empties going on. Who can blame the brother. Eddie Trout's asking him about the state of the band, uh, the brothers are still trying to process it all. Hopefully all sides can put it all together. As sad as it is without the Rev, we're all itching to hear some kind of new music.

Just wanted to give the heads up on Soundgarden being one of 16 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Nominees...fan voting is open - you can vote for up to 5 bands daily. Nice to see some of the classic Rock bands I grew up with finally getting a little respect too MC5, The Doobie Brothers, T. Rex, Thin Lizzy, Todd Rundgren , Judas Priest and MOTORHEAD just to name a few.... Soundgarden are in good company! Congratulations to Kim, Matt, Ben, and Chris! I know Chris would be very honored and cool with this- here's the link: vote.rockhall.com/ ...take care PEACE

ah man. don't let this become Yoko and the Beatles. Squash it mah brothas n sistas, squash it out. But dam. One of the Miami Herald articles named two of the song titles. The latter seems it would scream Soundgarden heavy riffage.

I can only see the 2 song titles mentioned. Where are the others? Stone Age Mind sounds like a great song title! Dam I hope one day we can hear these. I’m just so afraid it might not happen or only 1 or 2 demos see the light.

Sorry about the delay. Loving the Ahead of the Dog title. It screams all metaphorical Chris like. Hopefully it all gets resolved. It isn't like the music would be done in a day or even a month. And if Kim goes into chill mode, Fuggeddaboutit.

If that playa Kim goes into chill mode, fuggedaboudit is right.... That brothers chill is so extreme, his last 15 year sabatical consisted of doing absolutely nothing but breathing in air.
If this is somehow for future self serving purposes by the wife, this would be completely dispicable. I would think the Reverend had recorded many sermons in the home studio that could be used by her for future releases....BUT .....music he made for Soundgarden should be Soundgardens...WTF is goin' on over here.
