Thanks for posting that and welcome to the forum - I hope you stick around and enjoy the SG community. Here is another review (taken from September issue of Rolling Stone Australia). You may be interested in the Rolling Stone - Life and Times of Chris Cornell: soundgardenworld.boards.net/post/743/threadSome nice tidbits and a few lyrics.

Thanks for the welcome! I used to cruise the Chris Cornell forums back in the day but since Soundgarden is alive again I figured all the community migrated here lol.

yeah, that was some bs,wasnt it....lol Yeah, lol. I'm not expecting everyone to absolutely love the album, but usually a reviewer will express themselves to some degree. The review didn't seem that negative because the reviewer hardly said anything lol

Don't think this review has been posted yet: www.teamrock.com/reviews/2015-09-04/chris-cornell-higher-truthNot super favourable, nor super negative, but I get the feeling the reviewer thinks the album's a tad overproduced and perhaps he's clamouring for the wild howling Cornell we tend to associate with Soundgarden? I guess we shall get to hear the album for ourselves soon enough!

its getting tiresome hearing Scream getting mentioned as this disaster in all these reviews for Higher Truth. Every one i ever played that album for liked it. That tells me it was good music. The only people i never played it for were SG/"grunge" fans and metal heads....and those seem to be the ones that "bag" on it.... It not being someones cup of tea doesnt make it a bad album....That was a GOOD album.....anyway
That guy calls Josephine cheesy.......That chorus is the main thing thats stuck in my head right now...I could listen to that all day....:"Maaaah sweeeeet Josephine, wont you come and mary me"....Ah yeah babe
Murder Of Blue Skies. He hit it out the park with that one.....The entire song....but when Rev lets it rip in the end....the music...the vocals...fuggedaboudit...

Definitely a good album..... Alot of good songs on here. .....there are a few im not liking at the moment like the title track and the last three songs. I dont think the album closes strong...But thats just an initial impression. In two weeks i might be singing a different tune about the "last three songs". The bonus songs are all solid. I wonder why Wrong Side ended up as a bonus track instead of an album track. Real good song.
I just hope he starts dropping solo albums at a fast rate cause he has such a variety of music in him.
