I'm just starting to dig into these and am once again just in awe of the band and Chris's voice in this era.
The 3/23/94 show at Spectrum Scene in Oslo (bootleg name "The Garden Grows") is just an astoundingly awesome performance. Chris's voice and singing here is SO POWERFUL. The only thing comparable I've heard is extremely prime-era Robert Plant on a few '70-'71 Zeppelin boots.
I've also heard the 6/17/94 NYC show, which seems to be highly regarded. But I'd have to give the edge to Oslo because Chris's voice was even stronger (earlier in the tour, a trend for high-range belters like Cornell and Robert Plant).
Anyone else know of any particularly good bootlegs of this era? BTW I'm coming by these via the forums on guitars101.com
Cheers,
Edmund

I think my new favorite is 7/01/94 St Paul, MN. 1st gen tape that surfaced a couple years ago. The recorder can barely handle the sound and there's a little more distortion than one would like, but it has a really cool presence. Plus rare ugly truth and I think longest show they ever played until 2013.
Think I'd put 2/08/94 Tokyo on the shortlist too...

I've heard of that first gen tape of the St. Paul show but don't have a working link to it. Where did you find that show? Tokyo as well, I haven't heard. Currently rockin' out to the "16-bit" version of 3/23/94, which for some reason is missing "Somewhere" (the regular version of the show includes it).

AWESOME ^^ 👍👍👌👌👍👍
Ive said it for years....Its an injustice that a live recording from the Superunknown tour has never been released. How do you have a legendsry group like SG with an incomparabpe singer like Cornell in his absolute prime and theres no official release for documentation in the history books. These are completely historic level vocals and rock music in general and nothi g for the history books. Live on I 5 is awesome to have (no where near SU vocally...still AWESOME,dont get me wrong)...The artists den was an awesome addition (but pales in comparison)...and live at the Paramount is ESSENTIAL (and freakin awesome).. BUT YOU NEED 1994 for the record books.

Uploaded them here for you: Soundgarden 1994.02.08 Club Citta, Kawasaki, Japan (FLAC datX) mega.nz/folder/7dJXVKhT#tnTGNLuh6q2HbPJLzFimYwSoundgarden 1994-07-01 St Paul MN 1st gen tape mega.nz/folder/eMxTnSIQ#nHg1uBQixgb8Uz0ge5OHgwI think that version of Oslo you're talking about has Somewhere tacked on to one of the other tracks. ----------- Thank you so much for these! You were 100% right about St. Paul. It's now my favorite SG bootleg. The whole band is in top form, with a great setlist.

We love audience bootlegs but they are "bootleg quality" and thus not likely to be deemed "worthy" of release to the masses. I hope I'm wrong that no such recordings exist.
