Hello, everyone.
Long time since I've posted something. I wasn't even a member of this forums as my last thing going on was in the official ones like four years ago so, hello!
See, I love Blind Dogs. Sure, you all do. Who doesn't??? But what I feel for this song goes beyond anything I can feel for any other SG song. I think it's perfect. The warm riffing, the serenity it evokes, the beautiful soloing and the in crescendo at the ending... It's just too much. Can you imagine how happy I felt when the guys said that this was the first song they attempted at the rehearsal room when they were back? And seeing it played live in this era... wow!
So, I've been trying since forever to know who wrote it. Music and lyrics. I'd go with lyrics by Cornell and music by Kim but that's only my suspicion. I don't seem to find any source in the Internet to figure this out. Could you please help me?

According to the Echo of Miles booklet, music by Thayil and lyrics by Cornell.
If you haven't already, you need to check out the studio outtake version that was included with the Badmotorfinger anniversary reissue. It has a cool intro and some different lyrics and overall is at least a couple of minutes longer.

Thanks, 09challenger! I nailed it : D
I just listened to that version a couple days ago. It's trippier and rawer. Cornell's voice sounds epic in the bridge and I just can love the fact that you're swimming into the mood for two more minutes.

Suffer to swim and dying to sink
y'all know the rest of the words, Lol. Always a powerful moment in that tune. Very the day i tried to live- like-with double meaning. That outtake is trippy, like the finished version more so. Yep, Kim on the music. I think some sites say Christopher J Cornell, lyrics. Might be the only song I've seen naming Chris that way as the writer.
