In a recent Twitter Q & A, Tom Morello revealed that his favourite Soundgarden album is Louder than Love.
So what is your favourite Audioslave album & songs? Would you like to see Audioslave reunite one day? While we are at it why not talk RATM, Nightwatchman, Street Sweeper Social Club or Tom Morello in general?
Personally I enjoy Audioslave and appreciate Tom Morello's amazing riffs and guitar work, however I felt the music sometimes did not meld well with Chris's vocals. Maybe I was just yearning to hear new Soundgarden material and my judgement is too harsh. However, Soundgarden is where the real magic happens and I simply can't see this magic ever being replicated in any other band or collaboration. I also appreciate hearing Chris play some of the songs acoustically live. I'm sure his solo shows have helped him to become a better live vocalist.

Ive noticed alot of people that got into SG after discovering Audioslave mention how they would love to see Audioslave reunite. ...i guess you could say Audioslave being their "first love".
Maybe Audioslave struck them the way SG struck me back in the day. ...................
To me, Audioslave had many real good songs , but their albums as wholes were a lil underwhelming.....That being said, i dont think any of their stuff is "filler". All the songs are good....I guess i just think they should have been better.
Favorite album....i think i'll go with Out Of Exile (right now) ,although i think their first album as a whole had the strongest collection of songs. My actual favorite would be the Civilian Demos... ....but then that jabroni Rick Rubin, aka. Rick Ruin got his dirty paws on it and mangled the thing. He tamed the beast.
Favorite songs...Light My Way, Out Of Exile, The Worm .....but there are so many...Getaway Car,Exploder,Shadow On the Sun, Shape Of Things To Come,Yesterday To Tomorrow, Cochise,#1 Zero, I Am The Highway , Bring Em Back Alive (A Rick Ruin casualty),Like A Stone,Sound Of A Gun, the unreleased stuff.....etc etc etc.......They made alot of good songs.
I would like to hear them make another album/round of songs.....just as long as it isnt at SG's expense.

This is probably my favorite.... the heavy intro, the "soothing" verse but still jamming, explosive chorus and repeat....and the ending going from pretty to ferocious.
Reverend Cornell is sounding good on this live one. Some might find the heavy vocals of the chorus "rough"sounding but i think his voice sounds great....The brother is in beast mode. Blowin' it down.

My favorite Audioslave songs are Set it Off and Last Remaining Light. Set It Off because it rocks fully and LRL because the mood and Chris's vocals just kill me. What a great way to end a record. Still way more of a SG fan. I was happy to here Audioslave but felt the grooves were pretty weak compared to SG. Matt is GOD!

For sure....
Earlier today after i posted that song link, i listened to it again right after and said to myself "Matt wouldve been killing it right now" as opposed to what Wilk was doing. Matt.... fuggedaboutit....To me he's the force behind SGs music. He drives it. Kims "color"/ style gives the music that distinct SG sound but Matt is the backbone. That guys incredible....That brother is the man, period.

I embedded the youtube video into your post - hope you don't mind. When posting youtube videos if you click the "Insert Video" button it embeds the actual video into the post rather than just the link.

I was lucky back then that a friend of mine who used to be in the music biz informed me that the rumor mill was flying about Chris and the Rage boys being seen coming and going from a studio. She was living in LA at the time and i'm like... well go spy and find out for sure! Then the demos hit the net about 6 mos. later. Chris was getting off the cigs and his voice had some rough moments, but now in hindsight.. like mah brotha said. jabroni Rick done loused up the production on some of the songs. Bring em back alive? This was heinous. Prefer the demo of that one as well as some others. The debut is still my fave AS album. Maybe at some point the band will release a greatest hits cd and also include the turn to gold/visons tune. we got the whip, techno ted.. etc.

^ C's belt at the end of I am the highway, bring em back alive. etc. etc. He channeled the roar of 94 on the Audioslave demos. I mean he can still sing very well, but maybe the demos were the last of sheer power/roar of his voice. i forget the technical term, but it's some kind of vocal chord compression (head voice) and the air comes out as he's belting. Straight from the diaphragm. Ah yeah babe. Takes years of practice and of course God given talent. Father time and one has to adjust later in life. But who knows, cuz Rick Ruin mangled up some of the production on the debut. So I guess I'm glad the demos snuck out onto the web Just think if we never heard these. Anyway, babbling. The Rev and SG have new music in the upcoming future. Ah yeah babe. Here's We got the whip. Sounds like a finalized version.

Audioslave's second album, Out of Exile..... 10 years on. What are your favourite songs from the album? It is also 10 years ago (this month) that Audioslave became the first American rock group to perform a concert in Cuba, playing in front of an audience of approximately 70000. Do you have any favourite moments from the Live in Cuba DVD?
