^^ Ah yeah babe. Some fine interviews up there. Thanks for those BrotherT. Paul Rachman turner overdrive, Ah yeah babe. That was a good read. That brother laid it out and his memories were very vivid and like it happened yesterday. The men and women behind the scenes don't always get proper.. props. Some nice discussions between the band back then on how to approach and market the Temple album. Not compromising why they wrote the songs in the first place.

Youtube is messed up...... I dont really buy stuff online ...Doesnt look that this release is in stores. At least not by me it isnt. Being that someone upload all the demo/outake tracks, im procrastinating on shelling out the 100 bucks for the dee-lux...and i dont need the blue ray disk. Im not shelling out an extra 80 bucks right now just for the live cd....which im dieing to see.....I'll get it eventully.... My question is, to those that have it....how is the live footage? ?

In Germany I haven't seen it in local stores yet. I got mine from Amazon. The live footage is actually pretty good. The Off Ramp Cafe Videos are far better than the ones on Youtube. The Videos on Blu-ray (Moore Theatre, Alpine Valley and Benaroya Hall) are amazing and the 5.1 Surround mix of the album is better than the Superunknown 5.1 mix. Here are some pictures of the Super Deluxe Boxset. I also captured a video but the upload will take a while. More Pictures...NoiseQ Temple Of The Dog

Nice!!
I gotta go buy a blue ray player.....I gotta get with the times. I still havent listend to the Superunknown blue ray disk and ive had it since the day it came out. Ridiculous. Lol....now im actually getting excited thinking about getting a blue ray player, connecting it to my Bose speakers n zoning out to some SU....Ah yeah babe.... Then some TOTD.....n BMF in a couple months....Fuggedaboudit....Im in for a treat.
To be honest, from listening to the bonus tracks, (demos, out takes, rehersals) fromSU ....and the stuff i recently heard from TOTD .....I wish they dug up stronger vocal performance from the beloved, Reverend Cornell. The stuff is obviously a great listen, but Cornell still hasnt been unleashed in all his raw glory.
edit...even Live on I5....its good stuff, but nowhere near Cornells' prime voice.....The bonus "Before The Doors" had some awesome stuff on it...Especially Room A Thousand Years Wide and Waiting For The Sun....but all the tracks were pretty awessome.

You will never catch up with the times.... The times are changing too fast! One minute VHS, next DVD then Blu Ray and now Ultra HD 4K Blu Ray has arrived! Where does the time go! I have to say I'm kind of impressed with the alternative takes, demos and outtakes... I was expecting much more half baked demos but it is quite interesting to hear the differences. Having said that I would have loved to hear some completely unheard of and unreleased tracks - both Angel of Fire and Black Cat have been floating about for a long time, however I'm glad Angel of Fire has now been officially released. I'm sure there must be some other goodies gathering dust.

Cool, Thanks for the screen images. i coudln't hear a few of the alternate mixes, figures Wooden Jesus was one of them No worry though. The others were sounding good. I haven't been to a local joint to see if any are there. The jabroni Parashoot gave back the goods and the boys went to work. And wow, better than the SU 5.1 mix? Although I think I'm mixing it up with that DTX headphone thing, 'cause Spoonman sounded incredible. Too bad (y'all know the year) one certain tour didn't get proper pro recordings. We'd all have to buy new speakers.

Just hit me the tour is just a few weeks away. 2 exact weeks I think. I remember yrs back on an old CC forum people posting when Chris showed up at a PJ show (santa barbara) and they did a few temple tunes. That was a first since 92 so ya could sense the excitement in the posts. I have a feeling these shows will garnish the same reactions. Especially some of the latter tunes from the record. Your Saviour, 4 Walled world. Older and maybe more chill, but the boys will bring it. Ah yeah babe.
*if someone from this forum is going to any of the shows, please do share a review!

It was beyond amazing! We were in the car when I posted the above. I have been up since 8:00 am Fri Nov 4th. We drove in the day before and stayed over and did some sightseeing, but we had to be back today. We don't live a hop, skip n a jump away, and it was worth the drive a million times over! I don't know how my husband can sleep (we are home) when we have to be somewhere in less than two hours and with all the excitement from last night.
I can't talk about it all in one post, but I can give a few highlights. I figured the perfect song to get started with would be Say Hello 2 Heaven (my fav), and that came true. CC had not even gotten to the word, island, and I was crying (happy to be witnessing the very first concert date of their very first tour combined with the sadness that comes with an understanding of the lyrics and how the whole thing got started). We (the audience) were like the choir, and I can only remember one other time when I heard so much singing all around an indoor venue, word for word from the beginning.
There had been online speculation about surprise musicians, Vedder in particular. I figured if that happened it might be in Seattle. He was just coming off his World Series attendance a couple days before, so I doubted he would show up in Philly. We (the audience) did the Vedder part in Hunger Strike and afterwards, CC praised us and said we did so well we didn't need him. That was said in a nice way and was not any sort of negative thing about Vedder.
Off the the top of my head, I would say vocally, the best performances were Reach Down and Times of Trouble. I'll think on that some more.
I just looked up a song they covered, and it is from the 70s. It was unknown to both of us. There is so much more to talk about. One last thing for now....when they started playing War Pigs people were super excited, and then you could see who the real head bangers in the audience were. One more last thing...haha can't get over how perfect it was so I keep typing....it was a relief to the eyes to see the REAL Matt! Last time we saw CC he was up on stage with the other one, who is a perfectly good drummer, but even so, it was weird and sorta distracting.
