Manchester last night was amazing. His voice was perfect, the setlist was faultless, he was funny, charming, humble and I just can't get over how good he was! The acoustics in the venue were great too. He got a guy up from the crowd to play the mandolin on Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart - the guy (James) was great.
I also slipped a vinyl copy of my bands LP on the stage after everyone had pretty much gone, but I doubt he'll have got it - the crew might have just left it to one side, but you never know - he had his decks there so maybe he gave it a spin! Is it me, or is his voice sounding more soulful than ever?
On a different note, it's weird to think that the last time I saw him (with Soundgarden in 1997), he was younger than I am now - aargh!

^ Awesome review. Hopefully they got your LP. Here's vid. of Nearly forgot my Broken Heart with the patron from the audience. Those brothers layed it down during the bridge/solo.

Thankyou very much - you're very kind! It was the first gig I've been to in years that I didn't wear earplugs to - I got really bad tinnitus in 2009 (thankyou Them Crooked Vultures), and gave gigs up for a while, then only occasionally and with ear plugs, but the acoustics were so good and apart from the odd extremely high note (courtesy of Cornell's scream) my ears were fine! So it was kind of extra special. I was scared for James - even if I'd known every note of that song on the mandolin, I swear in front of a crowd that big, I'd forget my name!

^ Yeah, Chris didn't go easy on him either. He's like, ok, you start it. His vocals have been razor sharp this tour. And some of the venues.. Dam son. The Royal hall in England, that Teatro one in Italy. Maybe that brother had some good Dago pizza (with cheese on it) and his energies are back up. Taking no prisoners on this tour. Brother TSound. Lost cause is a Scream B-side and I thought for a sec that was the medley Chris was about to play. now that I think about it, Lost cause would be a good one to try acoustic, live. I think he could pull it off.

I think he could pull it off. Yes Lost Cause B-Side from Scream and Lost Cause improv are totally different songs. It certainly would be interesting to hear the Scream B-side get the acoustic treatment - I'm sure it would work well. Chris needs to keep adding more new songs and covers to the setlist - this is my only complaint about his outstanding live shows. Another improv - Like the Wind: 6th May 2016 - Mann Auditorium Tel Aviv, Israel www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Wpf6gfzRbg Chris Cornell takes on the audience's advice, and improvises live on stage a song titled "Like the wind" For some reason the video won't embed - link above. The setlist of the last show in Europe for this tour. DR Koncerthus, Copenhagen, Denmark, 14th May 2016 It would be nice to hear the live version of 'Til the Sun Comes Back Around'. The youtube video of the live premiere was not very good quality. Also would be great to hear live version of Our Time in the Universe.
