I recently found out that Soundgarden are scheduled to be one of the headliners at at least one of the World's Loudest Month venues in May. It's not even on their Website. So excited!!! It won't be long before all of the May festivals have released their lineups, and I bet they will make all or almost all of them. Then there's all the other summer festivals, so stay tuned.
This makes me think they have a fair number of new songs ready to go. The last time they participated in World's Loudest Month was May 2013 on the heels of the KA release. A few bands make annual or near annual festival appearances regardless of whether they have new material or not, but many only schedule festivals timed so many months before or after a new release. I think Soundgarden fall into the latter category. Metallica is part of this too.
