Sounds like big bank trying to take little bank. This is heinous. Then the one brother passed on and now we'll trample on the brutha's grave. Those brothers are/were some good producers. I think they worked AIC & PJ as well.

The Parashats......Kims cousins from back in Bangalore India.
Those other brothers went old school, started guzzling 40.oz's of Colt 45, pulled out n pissed on the poor brothers grave.
Thats why me, when i go give an estimate, whatever the price is,if its for either a doctor or a lawyer, i tack on another 20%.
Not that i have any idea what im talking about.....aside from tacking on the extra 20% to doctors and lawyers.....This is mandatory.
But the brother Rajan....Im just gonna call him Ragu cause im thinking that brother is hitting the sauce....He's saying he wasnt part of any agreement with his brother....The brother is trying to get paid twice.

Hurts me to see this. Those tapes belong to A&M. I love Chris' Laundromat reference. He's just so damn cool.
"A&M Records paid for the recordings and the use of the studio," he said. For Parashar "to pretend he has a right to keep the recordings makes no more sense than the owner of a laundromat claiming he owns the clothes you washed in his washing machine."

I'm sure A&M will win in court. I was glad Chris clarified his position on his. I didn't know which side he agreed with.

It's pretty clear the surviving brother is just trying to stall and get some sort of settlement. He's probably hoping A&M would save money paying him rather than lawyers to fight in court. That's the game. If it drags on long enough in the legal system, the cost outweighs just paying the guy off to cough up the master tapes. Some little studios working with indies and unsigned bands will supply the 2" tapes with the understanding that those tapes are expensive and that they'll actually be erased and reused if the band doesn't specifically buy their own reels, but this is not one of those situations at all. The living brother has no claim to the masters if A&M paid for them already.

Cool TOTD article ...... ultimateclassicrock.com/temple-of-the-dog-album/ Alot of good stuff potentially in the pipeline within the next two years...Cornell solo, SG album, BMF&TOTD 25th aniv. sets.... ................... what a lil luck can do....I could use a lil luck.... You got McCready out on the cheap Huffy mountain bike delivering pizzas in the rain and getting stiffed on the tip....and two weeks later he gets the the invite and is in the studio recording with Cornell & Company. Imagine if he didnt get that call and it went to someone else.. Fast foward two years without that phone call....n the brothers still delivering pies. ....n not for nothing, back in those days ...fuggedaboudit....this was a dangerous occupation. i remember one time i was hangin out in the neighborhood park and here comes the pizza guy peddling up first avenue.....ah man, it was heinous....This one kid had a broom stick and chucked it at the poor brother like a spear. Went right through the spokes in his front tire....fuggedaboudit....The brother started sailing through the sky like superman. All you heard were the moans coming from under a parked car and his feet slithering around. plus, those brothers were getting jacked up. ...You dont think guys were calling up , ordering a pepperoni pie, 2 chicken parm heroes, a dozen knots and a two litter of pepsi and teling them to bring change for a hundred?? ....The brother pedals over there and gets housed for the mack, the money and the bike ...and eats two three fresh slaps for his trouble. ....................... talking about Huffy delivery bikes.... Back when i was like 15-16....A young brother had a business plan...Ah yeah baba.... Me n my best friend at the time came out to Long Island and helped my uncle do a roof....We worked like two days and i think he gave us like 250 bucks a peace....For 2 15-16 years olds back then, that was some good pocket money.... So what do we do as soon as we get paid.....We walk up the block to the hardware store and buy the biggest pair of bolt cutters we can find.... We get on the LIRR n head back to the city....n went right to work....You wouldve thought we were seasoned locksmiths the way we were clipping locks. Brothers were "taking" bikes from one chinese restaurant n selling em to the next....Fuggedaboudit.... After a while we'd taken so many, we'd go to restaurant to sell a bike and theyde look at it n start talking about "this is my bike"....We were playing musical bikes with every restaurant on the east side from 57th st to 96st..... ......then we started selling em to the weed spots in Spanish Harlem. .....12 nickle bags (nice pillows) for a bike.....fuggedaboudit.....Brothers would be nice n toasted all weekend. This is heinous.... .....

^ omg. Lol! Ya got a brotha gigglin over here. A younger brother is chllin in the park back in the day. Looks up... oh man, the poor pizza delivery guy. He didn't just fall off his bike, he went airborne like those ski jumpers do off a big hill. Good heavens. Heinous. I know ya ain't lying. I heard those stories too. Or when I'm walking down to the cool game room with a friend and 4 or 5 hoodlums start chasing us. For what? To beat us up over the 4 or 5 dollars we had in our pockets. Ugh. Luck. Yeah, sounds good. Off topic for a sec, but I remember reading this story about this actress Rachel La Fever. Not for nothing this is a good lookin sista with some good acting chops, but her story was. She's serving up 1.99 breakfasts for .50 cent tips at the local greasy spoon. One day blurts out to a co worker, i wanna be an actress. Some movie producer who was in there overhears and.. the rest is history so they say. Sometimes, timing is everything. Thanks for hooking up that Temple article mah brotha. That was a good read. Vedder was back in San Diego catching waves, McCready's delivering pies around west seattle and then the Reverend calls. Ah yeah babe. Ya drop everything. But the talent was there.

Wow. They cleaned this one up. Reach Down, Lolla 92. 4:16-4:21 Chris hits some nice howls n growls. Then towards the end of the video he tries a rendition of fellow band mate Ben Footloose Air Shepherd n takes a spill. The Reverend jumped too soon. And sitting to Matt's right, chillin with a cig. the long lost brotha Dave Ambrooitzi. Fugeddaboutit.

Ah yeahhhhhh babe. What a beauty image that is. It really is, because knowing the legend that album would become/is. It looks like there's CC letters on the tapes? Hard to tell. Maybe Chris gets copies too since the brother basically wrote the entire record, except for the music on 3 of the songs. Unreal. Sigh. Or the label gets to keep them.

Im watching that live TOTD Reach Down video posted a coule posts up......n im having this heinous vision.....(Man, i love that recording....how good would that be if they had professional footage of that).... Seeing Ambouzi up there, just chillin, smoking a cigarette in all his glory. That right there is the life. That brother was living the dream back there.....but thats where the heinous vision comes in..... while he's sittin by the drum kit i can see Chedder tapping him on the shoulder n telling him he wants to talk to him back stage for a sec....He takes Ambouzi behind the curtain n sticks his hand in that brothers pocket n pulls out his wallet ....takes out the brothers cedit cards, pulls out the scissor n chops up the cards....then he goes n pulls out the 4 inch extension tip, straps it on, bends that brother down n stuffs him like a pastrami sandwich from Katz deli..... Then he opens the curtains from back stage, grabs the brother from the collar and the back of the diaper n chucks him in the crowd.....n they surf him all the way to the back, outside the arena n toss him straight into the dumpster. Basically, this is what he did to him.....Now that brothers a fugitive somewhere out in Texas....By now he probably made it over the border and is squatting somewhere in mexico.
