ah yeah babe....the six fo.... Alot of boosting was going on back in the day....
That stuff is like science...It has to cater to down tuned gee-tars and i wanna here those drums banging like chicken...nice n crispy....and a rich sound. Too many systems i hear, they sound to high....They might sound clear, but not "rich" at all....and i dont need that ridiculous bass....Just a nice deep, clear thump... i think im gonna stay with the stock system which is pretty good.....to change all 10 speakers would probably end up being like 2-3 grand...then amps...a new deck...instalation etc....forget it....im not spending that. ...n if its not gonna be done right, why do it at all.
....a friend of mine had bought an amp and subwoofer that he ended up not using.....so he sells them to me at less than a third of the price...since i bought those, i figured id have to change the door speakers to handle the extra power....I bought some regular Kicker speakers (4 door and two tweeters) The end result is i spent 750 bucks for junk. Its not junk per se....but its stuff that would be a decent system for a 20 year old that wants some bass and a loud sound. ....And if i didnt get that deal on the amp and the sub,(which definitely are decent) it wouldve cost me a lil over a G.....and i got the installation done real cheap too so i probaby saved a couple hundred on that too...so more like 12-1300... So why spend over a G on something that leaves you unsatisfied. (Better off spending more than you wanted to and be satisfied for the next 10 years with a high fidelity system and have zero regrets) I did that ^^ recently in my Scion xb (2nd gen) that i use as a work car.....I cant stress how much i enjoy that car. ...and i wouldnt say that about any car ive ever owned.
The car game is no joke.....can put a brother right in the poor house. I was thinking about getting rims on my Caddy....That would be between 3-4 grand.....and thats not even for forged wheels. a high end double din radio deck with navigation, a dash kit and installation is an easy 1500 A really good sound system....another 3-5 thousand..... and after you do all that you gotta deal with the filthy animals out there that ding your doors.
ive decided.....a brotha aint doin' sh*t.
