Hmm. The Cochise one doesn't sound like Chris. Maybe someone's hoodwinking. Gasoline sounds great. I always thought between the Audioslave demos and the release of the first record, Chris' voice sounded a bit strained in moments. The brother was kicking off the cigs, so the body had to adjust. But maybe all along, it was the mangling production of Rick Ruin. I mean, how could he mess with this?? The wail at 2:59. Ah yeahhhhh babe. Thanks for linking those up

EXACTLY!!!,,,,, This Rick Ruin jerkoff (pardon my french, but the mere mention of this animal riles me up) is considered some kind of musical mad scientist/genius. Yeah right. Only thing i consider this guy is a low life, a creep and a bum. How do you listen to something like that, and take out the most charismatic and memorable part of the song (2:40-3:05). You gotta be an asshole, plain and simple.Again, pardon the french but i cant help it when this animal is the subject at hand. And to think he was getting paid BIG money to do this. Its enough to make you sick. Every print he put on this album was deleterious. He took the demos and pussified them...... ....You just dont do this.

I'll keep an eye out for more isolated tracks. Lol @ Ruin. Dig the instrumental right side singing left side one too. Love all the Audioslave albums, but yeah, the first one got watered down in moments. Bring em back Alive really got whacked. This was heinous. Sans the part when Chris sings it solo.

Bring Em Back Alive takes the cake...... Rick Ruin gets handed this AWESOME demo of a song and instead of doing the right thing and enhancing it, this creep throws on his mad scientist cap and starts thinking to himself " Hmmmmmm, let me think of all the ways i can f*** this thing up...."
To quote Min from the underground classic Style Wars.... "you can never make up for this. That's never forgive action".

Bring em back. The Reverend got muted, then it sounded like he was in a room with a bad echo. This is heinous. I thought I read once Morello saying they have a finished version of Turn to Gold. Well dad gummit, put it out there Maybe make up a maxi cd of that, the techno Ted tune and what was the other one.... Give? Throw in a live song. I'd buy up a couple of copies. Ah yeah babe. As for Turn to Gold, the first six lines of lyrics are some of my most favorite Chris has ever written.
